Police in New York is investigating after a shooter opened fire in a shopping center, and the incident was captured on video.

On Saturday, March 1, the State Police in New Hartford, NY, located east of Syracuse, said that multiple shots were fired in the Sangerown Square Mall around 12:45 pm local time, according to the Observer disgust and WKTV.

“At this time, a male victim has been identified, but does not cooperate with the investigators. As a precaution, the mall is being evacuated,” police wrote in his statement, added: “This is not an active shooter situation.”

“First, our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and their families. We are deeply sad for this act of meaningless violence,” Miscione wrote in the position. “The security of our residents remains a priority, and we are committed to ensuring that those responsible for this law are responsible.”

Miscione also encouraged anyone with information about the shooting to be presented to the authorities.

“In the next few days, we will continue to provide updates as we receive more information,” he added. “For now, I ask everyone to respect the ongoing research and privacy of those affected by this tragedy.”

The investigation is still ongoing, the State Police added in his statement.
