LIVE Updates from the Los Angeles wildfires: Large numbers of Los Angeles residents were on the move after a fierce wildfire burned down the suburbs of the California city. Firefighters arrived at the scene on Wednesday to assist in rescue operations. The huge fire caused by hurricane-force winds caused panic among residents, AFP reported.

In particular, the Los Angeles suburbs are home to many Hollywood celebrities. People not only abandoned their homes but also their cars and took to the roads on foot to escape the disaster. According to an AFP report, the devastating fire devastated multimillion-dollar homes, occupying a 3,000-acre (1,200 hectare) plot of land, located in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Firefighting crews used excavators to push dozens of luxury vehicles, from expensive BMW and Tesla models to Mercedes. Celebrities took to social media to share photos and comments about the situation as car alarms filled the air amid a fire.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said more than 1,400 firefighters were on the scene and hundreds more were on the way.
