Drunk man dies after falling from girlfriend’s car, wife demands Rs 70 lakh compensation

In a shocking incident in China, a man died after falling from the moving car of the woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair. Now his widow is demanding significant compensation.

The man was reportedly involved in an affair and his wife discovered the relationship only after he fell from his girlfriend’s car and died.

According to the South China Morning PostThe incident occurred in 2022. A married man, surnamed Wang, met a woman, surnamed Liu, and they began an extramarital affair. In July 2023, Wang and Liu discussed ending the affair. The two had dinner at a restaurant and were traveling by car while intoxicated. Liu was driving and Wang, also drunk, was sitting without a seat belt. During the trip he fell from the moving vehicle.

Panicked, Liu called an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital, but Wang succumbed to a brain injury 24 hours later.

Police investigations revealed that Wang’s failure to wear a seat belt caused his fall and that Liu was not found guilty. However, Wang’s wife demanded 6 lakh yuan (approximately Rs 70.36 lakh) as compensation from her late husband’s girlfriend.

When the case came to court, the judge dismissed the wife’s claim for the full amount, but ordered Liu to pay 65,000 yuan (approximately Rs 8 lakh). The court also did not hold Liu responsible for Wang’s death.

The incident went viral on social media with one user commenting: “Avoid extramarital affairs, they only cause problems.”
