Wolverhampton teenager charged after alleged hit-and-run

A teenager has been charged in connection with an alleged hit-and-run accident in Wolverhampton in which a carer was seriously injured.

Freya Theobold, 19, was visiting patients on September 30 when she was hit by a stolen car on Stafford Road in Oxley.

He suffered multiple spinal fractures, a broken leg and required intestinal reconstruction surgery.

On Monday, West Midlands Police said Layton Clenton, 18, from Wolverhampton, had been charged in connection with the incident.
