Mohamed Salah sends cryptic transfer message amid Liverpool future and contract situation

Mohamed Salah has published a cryptic message on social networks after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Sunday. Salah scored the Reds’ second goal in Anfield but that was not enough to secure a fourth consecutive title first division win and advance eight points clear at the top of the table.

Now, Salah has posted a cryptic message on social media involving the Liverpool trio being out of contract. In a post on X, formerly known as TwitterSalah tweeted a single photo of himself, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk during Sunday’s draw against United, when Liverpool took a free kick outside the area.

There was no caption on the post and no other Liverpool players were seen in the image, just Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk. While the meaning of Salah’s post is unknown, it could certainly mean a number of different things, including the fact that all three players could stay, or even leave, this summer.

In an interview with Sky Sports on Friday, Salah addressed his future. He said: “It’s my last year at the club so you want to do something special for the city.

“We waited for that title for about 30 years. So to win it and it was the pandemic at the time, we didn’t really have time to celebrate it the right way. It’s not a nice thing to do, so hopefully we can do it this year.”
