Bengaluru tech suicide case: No relief for Atul Subhash’s wife, Karnataka HC maintains FIR against Nikita Singhania

Bengaluru coach suicide case: The Karnataka High Court on Monday refused to quash the First Information Report (FIR) lodged against Nikita Singhania, the estranged wife of coach Atul Subhash, who committed suicide in December 2024. The Karnataka HC’s decision comes amid allegations that Nikita Singhania, her mother and brother were accomplices in Atul Subhash’s suicide following allegations of harassment and extortion.

During the proceedings, Justice Hemant Chandangoudar stated that “the prima facie ingredients of abetment to suicide are set out in the complaint”, indicating that there is sufficient evidence to warrant further investigation into the matter.

Despite being granted bail by a lower court, Nikita Singhania sought to quash the FIR, arguing that his arrest was illegal due to lack of proper reasons provided by the police.

nikita was arrested from Haryana’s Gurugram on December 15, while her mother and brother were earlier arrested from Prayagraj and produced before the court in Bengaluru, after which they were sent to judicial custody.

Atul, who worked for a car company in Bengaluru, allegedly took his life on December 9 after being pressured by his wife, Nikita, and family to pay a fine. $3 Crore Divorce Settlement.
