The United States has been rocked by two separate attacks that left 16 dead earlier this week.

A suspected terrorist with ties to ISIS gunned down and shot dead 14 New Year’s Eve revelers in New Orleans.

he was eliminated by police in a shootout after leaving a trail of destruction in Louisiana.

Hours later, an asset US soldier shoots himself inside a Cybertruck before blowing up the Tesla on a busy Las Vegas street and sending debris flying toward terrified pedestrians.

Will told The Sun that these two tragedies should act as a “wake-up call” for security teams as they prepare for former President Carter’s funeral.

The big event will take place in Washington on January 9 and dozens of world leaders will meet with the general public to celebrate Carter’s life.

Joe Biden will lead the occasion for his close friend and incoming Donald Trump has also said he will attend.

Dozens of other American politicians and world figures are expected to attend, making security at the funeral of utmost importance.

Will said: “Following the two specific incidents that took place on New Year’s Day, it doesn’t come as a huge surprise to the security community.

“But its importance certainly wreaks havoc in terms of any major events that are going to take place in the United States in the foreseeable future.” futureand especially the state funeral of the President Jimmy Carter.

NOT A TARGET Chilling Reason N. Orleans Terrorist Chose to Kill Strangers Instead of Family Members

“One of the biggest concerns will be that heads of state from several countries around the world will attend.

“The United States will be very much on the world stage right now and Al Qaeda and the Islamic State know it.

“They also know that whatever they undertake before this funeral, and perhaps even on the day itself, will adorn and attract the attention of the world.

“A global impact funeral, for sheer simplicity, means that it will always be an attractive and viable prospect for a terrorist attack.”

The security specialist added that this must present “a very, very worrying and very worrying concern” to those responsible for ensuring security.

They can’t afford to be wrong when it comes to President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral. They have to do absolutely everything well.

The Secret Service has spent the week securing the area where the funeral and procession will take place.

Thousands of police will be on hand at every step of the event with the Secret Service and Joint Military Task Force leading security.

They will be assisted by local police and special agents who will be available to protect each individual leader.

USA retired Army Captain Col. Tom Waynick told WRDW: “A state funeral is our way, our nation’s way of paying its final honor to the commander in chief.

“And the military takes it very seriously, of course, because it’s not a fail mission and you have to make sure that when the day comes we are ready for it.

An emergency declaration has already been issued shortly before the Super Bowl following the terrorist attack in New Orleans.

The Louisiana city will host the NFL season finale on Sunday, February 9, a month after Carter’s funeral.

There were immediate concerns about staging the Sugar Bowl later on New Year’s Day after the attack.

The Superdome was scheduled to host the College Football Playoff quarterfinals between Notre Dame and Georgia this week.

But that match was postponed, authorities confirmed.

And attention was also focused on the Super Bowl in just over a month in the same stadium.

Authorities announced at a news conference Wednesday that preparations for the Super Bowl were disrupted in the wake of the attack.

“We have been crafting and working very diligently to address concerns about the Super Bowl since October,” Governor Jeff Landry announced.

“In preparation for the Super Bowl, I intended to issue an emergency declaration tomorrow so we could prepare all of our federal, state and local agencies.

“But due to today’s events, I modified that emergency declaration and issued it today.

“That will allow our federal, state and local partners to bring in all the resources necessary to make this city safe.”

A similar problem occurred in Magdeburg Christmas Market in Germany just over a week earlier, when a crazed driver managed to clear the bollards with ease.

Will says that these small opportunities for attackers will not be acceptable in the future, and especially not at the funeral.

He said: “We have seen serious security failures around the attack on the Christmas market in Germany, on Bourbon Street in New Orleans and even in the security around the Donald Trump hotel in Las Vegas.

“But they can’t afford to get it wrong when it comes to President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral. They have to do absolutely everything right.

“I think we should anticipate that security will be visible and present, but it will not only be effective, but incredibly robust because it is a perfect system. aim for terrorists.”

When asked how he expects organizers to use the recent attacks to bolster their operations, Will said he expects a few things to happen.

“It is to be hoped that the lessons learned from the two incidents on New Year’s Day have been quickly absorbed and adapted and now implemented and inserted into the plans for the state funeral,” he added.

“I hope this goes beyond what they were going to do anyway.”

Up to 7,000 people are expected to attend the state funeral of the deceased Jimmy Carter, who died at age 100..

The 39th president of the United States only served one term between 1976 and 1980, but went on to become one of the most appreciated and beloved politicians in the US. history.
