West Roxbury teen stole victim’s pants, sneakers in armed robbery, prosecutors say

A 15-year-old West Roxbury boy allegedly broke into a home with two other attackers and robbed a victim at gunpoint, taking an iPhone and several items of clothing, including the pants the victim was wearing, prosecutors said.

The teen was arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of home invasion and armed robbery, according to the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office. He was ordered detained without bail, pending a dangerousness hearing.

The teen, whose name was not released, was one of three men who entered a home on Weld Street in West Roxbury around 1 p.m. on Nov. 17, prosecutors said. After finding the victim hiding in a second-floor bedroom, one of the men allegedly pulled out a gun while the other two pulled out knives, prosecutors said.

The man with the gun allegedly told the victim, “Give me all your things or I will shoot you and the dog,” which was in the living room in a cage, prosecutors said.

The three attackers allegedly stripped the victim of the $300 Spyder pants he was wearing and stole several pairs of high-end footwear, including $500 Alexander McQueen sneakers and $1,000 Balenciaga shoes.

Police identified the 15-year-old after reviewing security video from the area and witness descriptions, prosecutors said. Investigators are still searching for the other two attackers.

“Anyone who reflects on this scenario can instantly understand the fear this victim must have felt as she endured this harrowing experience,” Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement.

The teen is expected to return to court on Jan. 10, prosecutors said. Judges are also considering revoking his bail in two other open cases.
