Philadelphia Eagles inactive list for Week 8 game against Bengals

We’ve seen a couple of recent games with Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith all available to Jalen Hurts. That has led us to a conclusion that we are sure you have also drawn. If the Philadelphia Eagles can ever get their entire offensive unit on the field and generate some chemistry, this is a unit that could become a well-oiled machine.

Unfortunately, that won’t happen this week.

Their starting left tackle (Jordan Mailata) and right guard (Mekhi Becton) will not play. The same goes for Dallas Goedert and defensive tackle Byron Young. Welcome to a typical week in the NFL.

Becton and Goedert were ruled out for the next game last Friday.. After practicing for the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday and Thursday, one of their star receivers, Tee Higgins, appeared on Cincy’s injury report.

Philadelphia added Young to its injured reserve a few minutes after ruling him out. Higgins was ruled out before this contest.

For the first time this season, rookie wide receiver Ainias Smith is active. The Philadelphia Eagles announced Saturday, less than 24 hours before the start of their next game, that they added him to their 53-man injured reserve list.

Football is a demolition derby. The addition of Byron Young to IR means the Eagles have six players on that list. John Ross is on practice squad injured reserve.

Philadelphia and Cincy must announce game-day inactives 90 minutes before kickoff. Here’s a look at the full report from both teams.
