Samantha Irvin talks about why she left WWE

Longtime WWE announcer Samantha Irvin has revealed why he left the company.

Last week, Irvin shocked the wrestling world when he announced that he would be pursuing other opportunities outside of WWE.

“WWE Universe, my time as the Monday Night Raw Ring announcer has come to an end,” Irvin said on Instagram. “I love you all very much and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a whole more life to share. Thank you to all the WWE fans who accepted me.”

While responding to fans on social media, Irvin revealed that he left WWE because he didn’t like announcing and wanted a bigger role in the company.

“I don’t like making ads,” he wrote. “I’m serious! Announcing was just supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become a general manager one day. But WWE didn’t see any future for me besides being an announcer. “I love watching the action, but I don’t love being a broadcaster.”

Irvin continued by thanking the fans who supported his decision.

“Thank you very much, I love WWE and I am very proud and honored to be able to share all the moments with my fellow fans, much love! Plus, they wanted Rico to stay in the big leagues. “I don’t know why everyone pretends that he was always in great positions in WWE.”

It will be interesting to see if Irvin signs with AEW in the coming weeks after leaving WWE.
