Apparently there had been Some positive steps in Van Dijk’s new deal last week, but we are still waiting for any concrete update.

Not only Real Madrid replaces Trent Alexander-Arnold

Until now, it seemed like it was a case of staying at Liverpool or joining Real Madrid for Alexander-Arnold.

The presence of Trent’s good friend Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabéu has always seemed to be a potentially decisive factor.

However, speaking exclusively to Waking up the KopBailey affirms that the European champion is not the only club monitoring the situation liverpool academy situation of the graduate.

“Liverpool still has hope that he will sign and that is the message that comes from the club,” says the journalist promisingly. “From what I’ve been told, he hasn’t started talks with other clubs yet, that’s true.

“I have been told that if Trent indicates that he is ready to leave, it is not as simple as saying he will go to Real Madrid. They clearly have interest, but there will be other teams there. They told me that Barcelona would be interested in him, PSG and Bayern Munich too.

“I think then we’ll have an indication that Trent is definitely leaving,” Bailey suggests.

“If we see the likes of Barca, Bayern and PSG starting to sniff him out, then I think it will be a clear indication to us, if we don’t have him already, that he is looking to move on.”

What is likely to happen with Alexander-Arnold?

So far, for the most part, Liverpool fans have only had to deal with Real Madrid’s interest in Alexander-Arnold.

Now it seems that fans hope it stays that way.

If we start seeing reports that Barça, PSG or Bayern are stepping up their efforts to convince him to sign for them, Trent may be all but gone.

For now, it still appears that Alexander-Arnold is prioritizing staying at Liverpool. But there’s only so long it can last.

The Scouser still looks likely to continue with his boyhood club, but his chances of leaving appear to be getting longer.
