Macomb County Woman Files $60 Million Claim Against Warren Police Over Injuries in Crash

A Macomb County woman has filed a $60 million lawsuit against the city of Warren after she was hit by a car being pursued by Warren police.

Centerline’s Brittny Turner filed the multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the city of Warren and its police department on Friday, nearly five months after her car was hit on June 8.

According to the lawsuit, Turner was driving west on 8 Mile in Warren when police were chasing a car with no lights or sirens on. The lawsuit claims she created “unsafe conditions for drivers” and was ultimately struck by the suspect’s vehicle.

The lawsuit says Turner suffered life-threatening injuries and was left “disfigured” as one side of her hip is now permanently higher than the other. Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries and says he cannot perform daily tasks independently.

His vehicle was also destroyed as a result of the accident.

The complaint was filed by Gantt Legal Advocacy and can be read below.

FOX 2 reached out to Warren Police for comment and said they have not officially received the complaint and will not be able to comment as of Friday afternoon.

This comes after a similar incident where Two men died after being run over by a Warren police officer. car going 100 mph without lights or sirens on September 30.
