However, Jagan, after conveying his intention to revoke the MoU, in September filed a petition with the NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) accusing Sharmila of illegally transferring shares of the company owned by him and his wife Bharathi, in the name of her and her mother Vijayamma. “Jaganmohan Reddy says this happens in every home and it is a ‘ghar ghar ki kahani’. He further said that despite having maintained the MoU for the last five years, he never attempted to approach any court (for the agreement) or any media (for publicity), fearing that it would tarnish the reputation of Rajasekhar Reddy’s family.

Responding to comments made by YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP and her uncle YV Subba Reddy that the companies in question are owned by Jagan, Sharmila called it false and said she was ready to curse her children. Sharmila also challenged Jagan and Subba Reddy to curse their children.

According to her, the YSR Congress won a big victory in the 2019 assembly elections thanks to the hard work of her, her mother and many followers of her late father. “What has Jaganmohan Reddy done for his sister? It is not a difficult fact that Jagan has done injustice to me and my children. God knows. Several people know this,” said a visibly upset Congress leader.

All the businesses that were established when Rajasekhara Reddy was alive are family assets and Jagan Mohan Reddy is just a “guardian”, he said in an open letter on Friday. Sharmila also stated that her father’s intention was for Jagan to divide all the businesses equally between the four grandchildren, two of Jagan and two of Sharmila.
