83-year-old woman dies in accident on New Jersey highway

A woman died last week in a crash on a busy Middlesex County highway, authorities announced Friday.

on Oct. 18, a 2012 Ford Mustang driven by a 32-year-old Williamstown man was driving east on US 322-Black Horse Pike approaching Forest Drive in Monroe Township, according to a statement from the Police Department. of Monroe Township. .

At the same time, a 2016 Hyundai Elantra driven by an 83-year-old Williamstown woman was traveling west on the highway approaching the same intersection. He attempted to turn left onto Forest Drive, police said.

At the intersection, the Mustang’s front bumper struck the passenger side of the Hyundai, causing extensive damage to that side of the car, the department said.

The woman driving the Hyundai, who was not identified, died. The driver of the Mustang was not injured. He was not facing any charges as of Friday.

No other details about the accident were released.
