Another week, another massive injury report for the Los Angeles Chargers—This time as Jim Harbaugh and company prepare to play the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.
As expected, star defenseman Joey Bosa was a staple of the injury report all week. So was rookie Ladd McConkey. The same goes for wide receiver DJ Chark and virtually every weapon in Justin Herbert’s offense.
Here’s a quick look at the final injury report before the start.
WR Quentin Johnston: Doubtful
WR Derius Davis: Doubtful
Joey Bosa: questionable
Will Dissly: questionable
Hayden Hurst: questionable
Ladd McConkey: questionable
Denzel Perryman: questionable
DJ Chark: questionable
QB Derek Carr: Doubtful
G Nick Saldiveri: Out
WR Cedrick Wilson Jr.: Out
Bosa limited himself for most of the week after apparently regressing the previous week, with harbaugh revealing that he was “still working on something.” He’s questionable now, but he’ll play, though probably on a quick count.
The Chargers seemed ready to get Chark returns from injured reserve last week, only to apparently be dealing with a new injury. Now it is questionable heading into the game.
McConkey suffered a head injury in Week 6, returned, then appeared in the Week 7 report with a hip injury and posted disappointing results in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals. This week he spent the first two days of practice. Not participating at all due to hip injury.. Like Chark, McConkey is questionable.
