Manchester United confirms the pre -season friend against the rivals

Man Utd’s plans for the preseason are taking shape and a friendly preseason against Leeds has been scheduled.

Manchester United will play Leeds in a friendly preseason in Stockholm this summer.

United regularly has made pre -season trips to Scandinavia and will face their Leeds rivals at the Strawberry Arena, the National Stadium in Sweden.

The game is scheduled to play on Saturday, July 19 at 2pm BST (local time of 3 pm).

United and Leeds faced successful preseason games against strong crowds in Norway in 2015 and 2023, but the game will be the first accessory played between both sides in Sweden.

The Strawberry Arena has a capacity of 50,000 and the organizers expect the accessory to attract an exhausted crowd while Ruben Amorim seeks to prepare its side for the 2025/2026 campaign.

Last summer, United played Rosenborg in Norway and Rangers in Edinburgh before flying to the United States to face Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool In three different locations.

Then they played on the community shield in Wembley thanks to their Fa cup success but were defeated by Manchester City In penalties after the game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.

United has already announced that they will visit the United States again this summer.

This summer will be used to be a great proof of the managerial credentials of Amorim, since it seeks to mold their team and the pre -season friendlies, of course, will play a vital role while their goal is to prepare their team for the season that is coming.

The Leeds are currently at the top of the championship and are widely tips to win the division.
