The Delhi police hope to reaffirm their dedication to the application of proactive law and crime prevention with the establishment of the ‘Shishtachar’ units.

The objective of this effort is to make the national capital a safer and safest place for women emphasizing the support of victims and real -time action.

It is also inspired by a similar strategy that the UTTAR Pradesh police introduced in 2017. The objective of the ‘Anti-Romeo’ campaign of Uttar Pradesh was to combat crimes against women, especially in populated regions and educational institutions.
