Lake County, Ind. (WLS) – An explosion and a fire of the house left three men hospitalized with serious injuries on Friday night in northwest Indiana.
The explosion occurred around 6:15 pm in a house in the 4200 block of West 181st Avenue in HEBRÓN not incorporated, said Lake County Sheriff’s department.

Two men, aged 49 and 39, were taken to the hospital in serious condition for burns injuries, authorities said. A 64 -year -old man was taken to a serious hospital for other injuries to the explosion.
The house was wrapped in flames after the explosion and extended to the nearby field, said the sheriff. Multiple fire departments fought against fire.
The cause of the explosion was not yet known.
Indiana State Marshal, the Porter County Bomb Squad and the Office of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are investigating.
