Sean ‘Diddy’ combs, the iconic hip-hop magnate, declared himself innocent on Friday (March 14) of new positions filed against him in a Federal Court of Manhattan. The new positions are based on previous accusations, claiming that the 55 -year -old music tycoon forced employees to work long hours and used intimidation. These accusations are part of what prosecutors say it was a 20 -year -old sex trafficking operation.

Sean Diddy declares himself innocent

Sean appeared in the court dressed in a baggy jail outfit, his gray hair and his beard contrasted with his public personality that was once glamorous. Several family members attended the audience in support, since the tycoon faced a new legal scrutiny. Despite the new positions, the combs trial will still begin on May 5, with jury candidates scheduled to start completing questionnaires before April 28.

In previous audiences, Sean declared himself innocent of the positions of extortion, sex trafficking and transport of people for prostitution. The new accusation does not add new positions, but expands in the originals. It focuses on “forced labor”, accusing themselves to force employees to the harsh working conditions for almost 20 years.

According to prosecutors, combs and their associates used various tactics to control employees, including physical strength, financial pressure, psychological manipulation and threats to their reputation. These tactics supposedly were part of the broader extortion scheme that it covered for 20 years. However, the defense lawyer of combs, Marc Agnifilo, argues that his client never forced anyone to not agreed sexual acts.

More about the case

The Office of the Prosecutor of the United States of Manhattan also states that Comps exploded sexually from 2004 to 2024 through their business, including Bad Boy Entertainment. The accusation also includes disturbing accusations of “strangers”, where sexual meetings with male sex workers were recorded, some of which moved through the state lines.

In addition to the criminal charges, combs also faces several civil demands of women and men who accuse him of sexual aggression and other misconduct. Comink has strongly denied these statements.

During Friday’s hearing, Judge Arun Subramanian shared the trial schedule:

April 28 – The jury candidates begin to complete the questionnaires.

May 5 – The jury selection begins in person.

May 12: Opening statements mark the start of the trial.

With the trial scheduled to start in just a few weeks, the result of this case remains to be seen. Legal procedures will be observed closely as the music tycoon faces their day in court.
