Melbourne: Charles Leclerc left Ferrari’s new teammate, Lewis Hamilton, in his path while surpassing the sheets in the second free practice in the Grand Prix of the Australian Formula of the season, on Friday.

Leclercó the Albert Park circuit in a minute, 16,439 seconds in soft tires, 0.124 seconds better than the Oscar Piestri de McLaren, who pushed his teammate Lando Norris to third.

The world champion of seven times Hamilton was fifth, an improvement in his range 12 in the first session (FP1), but more than four tenths of a second behind Leclerc.

Yuki Tsunoda, who lost a seat on Red Bull to New Zealander Liam Lawson, was fourth in FP2, while his rookie teammate, Isack Hadjar, was sixth on an encouraging day for the Rebuled racing bulls.

The F1 defender champion, Max Verstappen, achieved only the fastest seventh for Red Bull, while George Russell, the fastest for Mercedes, was tenth.

With six pilots starting a championship season for the first time, there were many incidents throughout the day.

The British Oliver Bearman could not participate in the second session after having damaged his Haas with a great derivation after a slide through the gravel when he left the return six earlier in the day.

With his right back wheel evicted and bouncing along the track, the 19 -year -old unharmed turned through the track and apologized to his team after stopping.

It was the second of the two red flags to stop FP1, with butlers to inform debris of a nameless car in the first.

Carlos Sainz and his teammate Alex Albon finished 11th and 12th respectively for Williams in FP2, going back after being second and sixth before.

Russell reported problems with his car on FP1, complaining of subviring at high speed and excessive heat.

He turned out of the track with a remaining minute in the session, avoiding a frontal collision with a wall after establishing the seventh round.

His rookie teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli was 14th before moving to 16th in FP2.

The rookie Jack Doohan and the new Red Bull driver, Liam Lawson, needed repairs on the floors of his cars after deviating in FP1.

Lawson, possibly occupying the toughest race seat in F1 as a teammate in Verstappen, had a difficult start, brushing the wall around nine minutes in the early session and was ordered to return to the garage.

However, there were no important damage, which allowed him to meet with the session and publish the 16th fastest lap, a better than his effort in FP2.
