Woman seriously injured in Morgan County crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Missouri (KMIZ)

A woman was seriously injured in a crash in Morgan County on Thursday, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to an accident report, a 2001 Ford Ranger, driven by Zachary Johnson, 33, of Lebanon, Missouri, was heading north on Highway 135 near Westwood Drive when it crossed the center line. Johnson overcorrected twice and the Ford rolled, the report says.

The vehicle’s passenger, Lorilee Gutierrez, 54, of Lebanon, suffered serious injuries, while Johnson suffered moderate injuries, according to the report. Neither of them was wearing a seat belt. Both were airlifted to University Hospital, according to the report.

An arrest report says Johnson is charged with driving under suspension and failure to drive on the right side of the road.

A spokesperson for MU Health Care said Johnson was treated and released, while Gutierrez is in serious condition.
