Hamas accuses Israel of stagnation of the withdrawal of the Filadelfi corridor under fire of high fire

Hamas warned on Monday that Israel is stopping its withdrawal from the Philadelphic corridor in Center of Gaza, violating the Fire’s high agreement.

In a statement, the group asked the mediators to intervene and push Israel to fulfill their commitments, including the withdrawal and resumption of phase two negotiations.

The group condemned Israel for violating the high fire by not complying with the retirement timeline for the Salah al-Din (Philadelphi corridor), qualifying the delay a deliberate attempt to undermine the agreement.

“Israel has not fulfilled the gradual reduction of its forces during the first phase, nor has it begun its withdrawal as programmed,” said Hamas.

“The withdrawal was supposed to be completed on the 50th of the agreement, which was Sunday, but it has not happened.”

The statement described the delay as “a shameless violation of the agreement and a clear attempt to sabotage and cancel its substance.”

Hamas asked the mediators and the international community to intervene immediately and press Israel to “honor their commitments, retire from the Salah al-Din axis and resume the negotiations of the second phase without delay.”

The group emphasized that “adhering to the agreement is the only way to ensure the release of hostages and avoid greater manipulation of their destiny. Any stagnation is equivalent to playing with their lives and the emotions of their families.”

The high -fire agreement between Hamas and Israel, negotiated by Egypt and Qatar with the support of the United States, entered into force on January 19. The agreement included an exchange of prisoners and was structured in three phases, each duration of 42 days.

Israel has refused to go to the second phase of the agreement, which would begin in early March after the first phase concluded.

The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has stagnated the negotiations, trying to extend the first phase to ensure the release of more Israeli hostages in Gaza without complying with the military and humanitarian obligations described in the agreement, said Hamas.

Almost 48,500 people have been killed, mostly women and children, in a brutal Israeli war in Gaza since October 2023. The attack was arrested under the high fire and the Swap agreement of prisoners, who seized January.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest orders for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a case of genocide in the International Court of Justice for its war in the enclave.
