Upcoming scenes will see the residents of Weatherfield dealing with the aftermath of a tragic death and making funeral arrangements. In another twist, news about a character’s baby is revealed in a shocking paternity reveal.

In other places of the ITV Soap, Cassie Plummer’s sinister plot against Ken Barlow is revealed. Here are the top stories to watch out for on Corrie next week…

Weatherfield shaken by tragic death

In recent episodes, Mason Radcliffe decided to help DS Lisa Swain defeat her evil brothers, Matty and Logan. After Lisa presented Mason with crime scene photos of his late wife Becky’s death, revealing that her brothers were responsible for the fatal car accident, he decided to intervene, he reports. He enlisted Dylan Wilson’s help and asked him to be on the lookout while he searched Matty and Logan’s apartment. Fortunately, Mason found incriminating evidence (a World War II helmet in the apartment) which he gave to Lisa at the police station.

Lisa then passed the evidence to Kit Green, pointing out that it was the item stolen from the crime scene and that it carried the same identification as the soldier.

Shortly after, Matty and Logan were arrested and asked to call a lawyer. Meanwhile, Mason realized that he needed to leave Weatherfield for his own safety, anticipating the likely retaliation from his brothers. He decided to accept Stu Carpenter’s job offer in Germany, hoping to start over.

However, Monday night’s episode saw a tragic turn of events when Matty and Logan, who had been freed, attacked their brother. Mason was stabbed and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

Next week, Matty is finally arrested after the police discover CCTV footage of the brothers disposing of the murder weapon.

Abi Webster, who discovered Mason and tried to save him, is also deeply affected by the incident. It brings back painful memories of the murder of his son Seb Franklin in 2021, where he was also attacked. Despite this, Abi insists to Kevin Webster that she’s coping and doesn’t need counseling.

However, when she is alone, Mason’s final moments haunt her. At the same time, Kevin discovers a lump, but decides not to tell Abi as she continues to deal with the aftermath of Mason’s death.

As the week progresses, Abi continues to have visions of Seb. Unaware of Kevin’s health problem, she tells him that Alfie has a cold and plans to stay home for the day. Meanwhile, Kevin consults Dr. Gaddas, who refers him for further tests.

Kevin, unable to communicate with Abi, shares his concerns with Tim Metcalfe before returning home to find Abi and Alfie asleep on the sofa. After taking Alfie upstairs, Debbie Webster enters the house, causing Abi to wake up and accuse her of taking Alfie.

Following the uproar, Abi tries to justify her overreaction, leading Kevin to reveal that he has discovered a lump and may have testicular cancer. Later, a stunned Abi tells Roy Cropper her memories of Seb’s last moments and hearing his voice.

Soap fans will remember the shocking revelation on Christmas Day when Daisy Midgeley discovered she was pregnant. However, there is also a parenting twist involving her ex-lover Daniel Osbourne and her current boyfriend Kit Green.

In future episodes, Daisy steps in to help when the bakery fails to deliver Bertie’s cake. At the same time, Bethany Platt informs Daisy about a job offer she received from a London magazine and Daisy encourages her to share the news with Daniel, believing that he will be delighted and supportive.

Later, Bethany excitedly tells Daniel about her job opportunity, how will he react? As the week progresses, during Bertie’s birthday party, Bethany becomes increasingly envious as Bertie spends most of his time on Daisy’s lap.

However, the drama intensifies when Bertie catches Cassie Plummer slipping antihistamine into Ken Barlow’s tea and questions her actions. She makes him promise to keep it a secret.

But Bertie tells the truth to Daisy, who then informs Daniel. This does not go unnoticed by a jealous Bethany who drowns her sorrows in prosecco.

The cake cutting ceremony turns into chaos when Daisy tries to help a drunk Bethany, resulting in an unfortunate fall. Worried about her unborn child, she lies about spraining her ankle, prompting Daniel to offer to take her to the ER, where Kit is already present. Things get awkward when the nurse confirms that Daisy can have an x-ray during pregnancy.

Both Daniel and Kit are shocked by the news of the pregnancy, leaving Daisy distraught when her secret is revealed. Who will Daisy turn to and who is the father?

Cassie Plummer’s actions come to light

In the next few episodes, after Bertie sees Cassie adding antihistamine to Ken’s tea, Daniel confronts her. Cassie insists it was just sweeteners, but Daniel isn’t convinced.

Later that week, following the revelation of Daisy’s pregnancy, Daniel confides in Adam Barlow about his suspicions that Cassie is drugging Ken’s tea. However, he feels unable to act because Daisy is pregnant, he could be the father, and Cassie is using this information to blackmail him. Adam is shocked by the news: will he intervene and who will inform Ken?
