PHQ warns about the action against those who emit threats

The police headquarters in a statement issued yesterday warned about strict legal actions against any antisocial force that threatens citizens.

Signed by Inamul Hque Sagar, AIG (Media and PR) of the Bangladesh Police headquarters, said the police have noticed antisocial elements that emit several types of threats for people throughout the country.

“The issuance of threats to any individual is a criminal offense under the law,” reads the statement.

If someone is threatened, the Police urges them to immediately mark 999 or inform them of their police station.

The statement also added that the Bangladesh police are committed to guaranteeing the security of each citizen and maintaining the law and order in the country.

According to police sources, a group of student leaders against discrimination was threatened.

Instead of informing the police, they notified their main leaders, which resulted in a disorder that promoted the PHQ to issue the statement.
