1 dead and 1 seriously injured after accident in Dakota County

One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a crash in Dakota County on Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

A incident report claims a Chevy Silverado was southbound on Highway 61 in Marshan Township when it collided with a Hyundai Elantra that was eastbound on 190th Street East at 4:18 p.m.

The driver of the Elantra, Ramazan Ali Rahmani, 38, died as a result of the accident. The 29-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the Silverado suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
