Politically, however, color theory in the country seems different. A turquoise, red and pink Christmas is not in the cards. Twelve weeks after the National Council elections, the ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS are still tinkering with the candy coalition, after Friday’s theatrical scandal. But the Christmas tree is still far from being decorated. Doubts remain over whether this coalition will ever materialize and expectations about this potential government are sinking.
