Jason Kelce hopes Brandon Graham plays another season

During his 15-year career with the Birds, Brandon Graham has become one of the most beloved players in franchise history, inside and outside the locker room.

It’s part of the reason Nick Sirianni insists that Graham will continue to travel with the team, even after Graham’s death. season-ending triceps tear during Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Rams.

“We need it,” Sirianni said Monday. “I need it. The team needs it. Because, again, Brandon Graham affects the team much more than just on the field because of (you know him) because of the person that he is, because of the captain that he is, because of the teammate that he is. “His enthusiasm and love for football and his teammates are contagious.”

Graham had previously announced that this would be his last year in football. But Jason Kelce, Graham’s teammate of 13 years, said on his podcast new heights Wednesday that he hopes Graham will change his mind.

“I hope he comes back, I really do,” Kelce said. “He continued to play at a high level. I hope he does what he wants, but he was still so dominant and so productive. I know him, I know BG will still be out there leading those guys, still being around them, still understanding those guys well. This is his 15th season, he’s been so good for so long in Philadelphia. Yes, that one hurts.”

Since the injury, Graham has been noncommittal about whether Sunday’s game was his last in the NFL or whether he could return for another season. he said Monday that he plans to have surgery “hopefully next week” and will make a decision about his career later.
