Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre has been surprised by the struggles of the New York Jets and his former teammate Aaron Rodgers during the 2024 season.

“I have to admit, I’m as surprised as anyone because he was singing the praises of the team and, of course, Aaron,” Favre said, via sports (Mark 0:20).

“I find it hard to believe that a competitor of the magnitude that Aaron has been over the years would end up that way if he ended up today,” Favre said, according to TMZ.

After a 2-1 start to the season, the Jets would lose seven of their next eight games and are currently 3-8.

Rodgers has completed 63.4 percent of his throws for 2,442 yards and 17 touchdowns along with seven interceptions in 11 appearances. He is currently averaging 6.4 yards per attempt, the lowest mark of his career as a starter.

The Jets also own the NFL. sixth worst scoring offense.

Favre followed a similar career path to Rodgers, playing with the Jets for one season after spending 16 years with the Green Bay Packers. He led New York to a 9-7 record in 2008 and earned a Pro Bowl nod before joining the Minnesota Vikings.

As for the current Jets, a Hall of Fame quarterback has been among those confused by the team’s disappointing season.
